About Scroll Bridge

The Chinese invented and perfected 'Indian Ink' for use in writing, including scrolls. Initially made for blacking the surfaces of elevated stone-carved hieroglyphics, the ink was a combination of soot from pine smoke and lamp oil blended with the gelatin of donkey pores and skin and musk.
